New Details Suggest PnB Rock Was Set Up by Insider at Roscoe’s Before Fatal Shooting
True Crime News analyst Ana Garcia, speaking on CBS Philadelphia, noted that surveillance video shows a person fist-bumping PnB Rock inside the restaurant before seemingly contacting a father-and-son duo linked to the crime. According to Garcia, the rapper’s food was delayed for about 40 minutes that day due to the restaurant being busy.
She emphasized that initial claims blaming PnB Rock’s girlfriend for his death were unfounded, as her social media post showing their location was made long after the setup occurred. Garcia stressed that the individuals inside the restaurant orchestrated the robbery attempt that led to the rapper’s death, targeting his jewelry.
Back in September, Freddie Lee Trone, 42, was sentenced to 31 years to life in prison after being convicted of murder, conspiracy to commit robbery, and two counts of second-degree robbery. Prosecutors revealed that Trone directed his 17-year-old son to shoot and kill PnB Rock during the incident. Trone denied his involvement, claiming he was handling business for a nearby beauty shop. However, surveillance footage placed him at the restaurant’s parking lot just 30 minutes before the shooting.
