Dima Kalekin from Ukraine is here.
He can’t recall who his biological parents are.
Dima was identified as having hydrocephalus, or “water on the brain,” before birth. Additionally, his parents made a callous decision when they first saw him.
They never turned around after leaving the hospital without him.
According to the Ukrainian publication Fakty i Kommentarii, Dima was compelled to start her life in a crippled children’s orphanage in Krematorsk, in eastern Ukraine.
Even after four years, Dima was still unable to walk and eat with cutlery. The staff at the orphanage had doubts about his potential normal development. However, they were taken aback by his prolonged survival and his ability to speak.
However, it wouldn’t be the last time Dima shocked everyone.
The children and staff were compelled to move around for a whole week without access to food, drink, or medication.
At last, a group of rebels handed the children to the Ukrainian authorities after noticing that some of them were near death.
Zebediah can now speak. He understands English and Ukrainian. He is also able to walk.
Progress, huh?
After examining Zebediah’s brain, American medical professionals are certain that the illness hasn’t done much harm to it. He has a high chance of developing normally, they say.
What a fighter to inspire!
Even though Zebediah still has a lot of work ahead of him and will need multiple surgeries, he has already demonstrated to the world his unbreakable strength and determination to survive!
Looking at him now, in 2022, certainly makes us happy! What a charming young man he has become! The fact that he is the same boy that Ernest and Ruth adopted is so unbelievable!
