Last night, (or this morning if you were watching in the UK) former YouTuber Paul managed to beat Tyson via unanimous decision – in a major blow to the 58-year-old boxing icon’s legacy.
Tyson was able to take the upper hand early on in the fight, but fatigue would ultimately get to him – meaning that 27-year-old Paul was eventually able to come out on top.

The fight took place in Dallas and was therefore licenced under the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation – with the board implementing a condition in which the pair would both be suspended for a minimum of seven days to recuperate post-fight.

The guidance reportedly went on to state that each boxer should rest for three days per round fought.
Given that both Paul and Tyson were able to go the entire eight rounds, this means they will both be suspended from the sport for 24 days of rest in order to fully recover from the fight.
The reason for this is pretty straight forward, with the board of regulations stating: “Medical disqualification of a contestant is for their own safety and may be made at the recommendation of the examining physician or TDLR
