On November 21, 2024, Aguilera and her daughter Summer graced the H&M Times Square reopening, showcasing a refined space with immersive experiences and the latest fashion-forward collections.
Fans wasted no time sharing their thoughts on Aguilera’s outfit. They also analyzed her daughter’s mood at this glamorous event. One fan was stunned by Aguilera’s transformation, saying, “Reopening of her new face too 😮,” while another bluntly declared, “She’s botched.”
Another user added, “She doesn’t even look like herself anymore. It’s really too bad. She always had a unique look and spirit and she looks cookie cutter [sic] now.” An individual with similar views commented, “That’s not her. That’s a reboot. She never looked that good when she was young, now all of a sudden she’s flawless. Nah.”

Similarly, another fan wrote, “Have to agree she no longer looks like she did… too much plastic surgery. Her daughter is adorable though.” The fashion choices also sparked debate, with one user unimpressed by Aguilera’s attire, commenting, “That bikini doesn’t look good, even if it’s golden colour….😬.”

Another criticized her look, “Why do these celebrities have to wear underwear in public instead of a nice mini dress or skirt or shorts [sic]. Not a good role model for young kids.” The spotlight also fell on Aguilera’s daughter, with some fans commenting on her apparent discomfort. “The kid looks so forced to be there. Let kids have a real fun not the fake ones [sic],” one said.

Finally, there were those who took issue with Aguilera’s behavior, saying, “It’s not only the phony look, it’s the over the top exaggerated phony behavior. Her poor daughter.” Another person agreed, “Awful, never. Understood the voice, style or attitude. No class.”
Not everyone was critical, though. One fan defended Aguilera, “Xtina is looking flawless nowadays and the only things haters could say are ozempic & unrecognizable! Nice try though 😂.”
However, she noted, “I’ve grown up in this business. I started performing at six or seven and then I broke when I was a teenager. No matter what you do, you’re going to have people that hate on you.”

The singer added, “The bigger you are and the more successful, unfortunately, that comes with more hate or more scrutiny. And I’m a very sensitive person, but I’m also very tough at the end of the day.”
The singer encourages her daughter to prioritize what feels right for her, even when unsure about what to wear. Her advice to her daughter is simple, “Wear what you like. It doesn’t matter at the end of the day. You’re going to have an amazing day and you’re going to feel amazing. It’s just clothes.”
