Woman courageously calls 911 to ‘order pizza’ in life-saving act

The 911 call began with the woman trying to ‘order pizza’

You might not think twice about calling up to order a pizza – but for one woman, who called 911 and faked her order, it saved her life.

At around 4am ET on 19 October, The Volusia Sheriff’s Office 911 Communications Center received an emergency call from a woman they quickly discovered was in desperate need of help.

The 911 call was shared by Volusia Sheriff’s Office on social media, and it all starts off with the woman trying to order a pizza.

“I would like to order a pizza,” the woman began. “I’m so stuck in here.”

The dispatcher then asked the female caller: “Okay. Are you aware you’re calling 911?,” to which the woman quickly responded: “Yes, I’m sure I’m calling to that number.”

The woman was unaware of her current location, but the communications center and patrol deputies were able to track her whereabouts thanks to location services on her phone.

It was quickly discovered the woman was in the middle of a field in the rural part of Pierson, Florida.

The victim confirmed that she was with a man, who was unarmed, making the mission somewhat easier for the police.

Speaking of the area where the called was made, Volusia Sheriff Mike Chitwood said: “Deputies got out on foot, and began to search those ferneries. Eventually, they heard loud music coming from a field. When they approached the sound, they discovered a male on top of a screaming female.”

When the victim heard people approaching, she screamed: “He’s trying to rape me. Can you help me?”

Police were then able to grab the man, before the woman repeatedly said ‘Thank you, Lord!’ while crying.

“Thank you, Jesus”, the woman then said as the man was taken away.

The man has since been identified as 27-year-old Luis Diego Hernandez-Moncay, from Mexico.

He had applied for asylum the day before the alleged attack, with the sheriff’s office confirming to Fox News Digital that he was in the US illegally.

“He’s now sitting in jail, charged with attempted sexual battery, battery by strangulation, and false imprisonment, with an immigration detainer from the U.S. Border Patrol,” Chitwood said of the man on Twitter.

“During this outing, he did a line of cocaine, and she said he did a 180, and he became extremely violent and wouldn’t let her go and tried to rape her,” the sheriff added.

It’s the chilling 911 call video that has grabbed many people’s attentions, with it going viral on social media.

Speaking in the clip, Chitwood said: “When you watch the video … if you’re a father, if you’re a grandfather, if you’re a brother, and you hear those screams coming from our victim, it makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up.”
