Kelly Clarkson, Bachman & Turner and Coeur de Pirate also performed at the closing ceremonies, and Springsteen also performed three songs solo, backing himself with acoustic guitar and harmonica.

Springsteen sang Adams’ 1983 hit “Cuts Like a Knife” and his own “Badlands” with Adams and Adams’ band, after performing “Working on the Highway,” “The Promised Land” and “Dancing in the Dark” on his own. Springsteen had covered “Cuts Like a Knife” once before, at a Rainforest Fund benefit concert at Carnegie Hall in 2010.
