TWICE’s Tzuyu confirms earning a Master’s degree in Psychology
TWICE member Tzuyu opened up about her recent scholastic feat.
During a fan call with X user @sorakonnn, the singer confirmed the circulating rumors that she had earned a master’s degree in psychology.
The rumor began after a flyer from her alma mater, Fuxing Elementary School in Taiwan, surfaced online. The flyer congratulated Tzuyu for earning a master’s degree in applied psychology from Spain’s Miguel de Cervantes European University.
“Yes. Whenever I was free, I would go online to study,” she revealed as she confirmed the rumor.

Aside from her academic achievement, Tzuyu also marked a new feat in her music career recently when she released her debut Extended Play (EP) titled Aboutzu in September.
The lead single of the album titled “Run Away” became her first number-one single on the Billboard Taiwan Songs chart.
Tzuyu took part in the songwriting of the final track of the album titled “Fly.”
“With this being my first solo album, I thought it would be especially meaningful if I could tell my story through lyrics I wrote myself,” she said about the decision to write the song in an interview with NME.
She went on: “I was most inspired by the experiences and emotions I’ve carried from childhood to where I am now.”
The singer admitted that the songwriting was challenging. “This time, it was pretty tough to go through that process of writing alone,” she admitted.
She went on: “It was a real challenge, putting the stories I wanted to tell, the feelings I wanted to convey into words. It didn’t come as naturally as I’d hoped, but I took my time to work through each line, looking up any words I found more difficult.”
Tzuyu made her debut as part of TWICE in October 2015 with the release of their EP The Story Begins.
Among their hit tracks include “Yes or Yes,” “What Is Love?” “Fancy,” “Feel Special,” and “Talk That Talk,” among others.
