Scarlet Vas, a former star of the beloved Australian soap opera Neighbours, announced her pregnancy earlier this year.
The former soap star shared the good news alongside her stepbrother-turned-partner, Tayo Ricci.
In an Instagram post featuring a photo of her baby bump alongside six suitcases and their two small dogs, Vas wrote: “Five years ago we left Australia to the US with nothing but 4 suitcases. Now we are returning with a little extra baggage.”
She reflected on their journey, highlighting their accomplishments: “We gained 35 million of you wonderful followers, purchased our dream homes in our two favorite countries, got married in Greece, and now we are so, so grateful to have our 2 adorable puppies and now blessed with a beautiful little girl on the way.”
Vas, best known for her role as Mishti Sharma on Neighbours, transitioned to creating content on the adult platform OnlyFans a few years ago.
Initially struggling to find success, Vas revealed she discovered “a really good formula” that catapulted her into the platform’s top earners.
“I wasn’t making a lot from the 18+ subscription service until I found out a really good formula,” she told the Daily Star.
“Now, I’m in the 0.01%, like the lowest you can go on OF. But every month’s been getting better. Like last month was my best month.”
She added: “I hit almost $200k and then this month I’m going to do well over $200k.”
A key factor in her success has been her collaboration with Ricci, her partner of seven years, who is also her stepbrother.
The couple shared the news of their new arrival on Christmas Day.
“Our Christmas miracle has finally arrived. Merry Christmas from our family to yours,” Vas captioned a photo of herself and Ricci holding their newborn.
In the image, the baby’s face was covered with a heart emoji, while a second photo showed the couple holding hands with their little one.
While the baby’s name was not revealed, Ricci confirmed they had welcomed a baby girl.
The announcement was met with an outpouring of support from fans and followers, who flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages.
“You are going to be the best dad,” one user wrote.
Another commented: “The most beautiful family, and the best way for me to wake up on Christmas.”
A third person said: “Awww you all look so happy and cute together! Be happy and proud to be parents! Lots of the best wishes and hugs from Australia.”
The couple met as teenagers in Melbourne before becoming step-siblings when their parents got together.
While they have chosen not to disclose all the details of their family dynamic, they have repeatedly emphasized that they are not biologically related.
The pair tied the knot in a lavish $500,000 wedding in Mykonos in September 2023, shortly before announcing Vas’ pregnancy.
Their romance first went viral in 2021, sparking controversy and fascination in equal measure.
Despite facing criticism, Vas has remained unfazed by the public’s reaction.
“Honestly, it doesn’t affect us because we have each other,” she told news.com.au. “I don’t really read our comments section, but if I do, I actually laugh. We find trolls very entertaining.”
She added: “If something’s really negative, we might comment back. We find it is quite a good disarming tactic.”
We wish the happy couple all the best as they venture into parenthood!
