Simone Biles’ Tweet To Joe Biden Causes Controversy After Election Defeat

The Olympic gold medalist asked the 46th president to take action. She wrote:

“Mr Biden, I need you to stand up, straighten your back and make some things shake before your departure,”

She signed off the message, “xoxo the women in america 💙.”

Trump was declared the winner in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Soon after the announcement, Biles took to X (formerly Twitter) and posted: “you gotta be f–king kidding me,” later, adding: “I’m SO sorry america.”

Following Kamala Harris’ concession speech, Biden himself tweeted: “What America saw today was the Kamala Harris I know and deeply admire. She’s been a tremendous partner and public servant full of integrity, courage, and character,”

“Under extraordinary circumstances, she stepped up and led a historic campaign that embodied what’s possible when guided by a strong moral compass and a clear vision for a nation that is more free, more just, and full of more opportunities for all Americans.”

“She will continue the fight with purpose, determination, and joy. She will continue to be a champion for all Americans. Above all, she will continue to be a leader our children will look up to for generations to come as she puts her stamp on America’s future.”

As well as Biles, other celebs have shared their disappointment at the result.

Christian Applegate wrote: “Please unfollow me if you voted against female rights. Against disability rights. Yeah that. Unfollow me because what you did is unreal. Don’t want followers like this,”
