The ‘7 Rings’ vocalist got her big break in the Nickelodeon show Victorious and its spin-off series Sam & Cat (2013–2014) before halting her acting career so she could focus on music, releasing her debut studio album, Yours Truly (2013), followed by six more projects that sold millions and broke records worldwide.
The ‘No Tears Left To Cry’ songstress returned to our screens with the political satire Don’t Look Up (2021) and is now back once again as Glinda The Good Witch in the highly anticipated movie musical, Wicked: Part One (2024).
While her past acting work has seen her credited as the moniker we already know her as, Ariana Grande, the singer is now being credited by her real name in the Jon M. Chu directional.

E! News reported that the singer will be credited by her full name “Ariana Grande-Butera” in the forthcoming film.
Her real name incorporates both her mom Joan Grande and dad Edward Butera’s last names. The couple split up when the ‘Thank U Next’ hitmaker was eight years old.
The name change comes after Grande and her estranged father mended their relationship after falling out of touch in 2013.

The star opened up about falling out with her father in an interview with Seventeen magazine in 2014, saying it was “one of the hardest things” she had to deal with.
“It’s private… It took me so long to be okay with it,” she said at the time. “So much of me comes from my father, and for so long, I didn’t like that about myself. I had to accept that it’s okay not to get along with somebody and still love them.”
The father and daughter reconnected a couple of years later, with Edward even joining his famous daughter on the Grammys red carpet in 2019.
