R&B singer Ashanti surprises boyfriend Nelly with $150K ‘dream car’ for his 49th birthday
R&B singer Ashanti surprised rap legend Nelly with his “dream car,” a $150,000 vintage 1962 Chevy Impala.
Ashanti, 43, surprised Nelly with his dream car at his Halloween/Birthday celebration in Fairburn, Georgia on Oct. 31. He turned 49 on Thursday, Nov. 2nd.
“He couldn’t believe Ashanti went out of her way to get him this vintage 1962 Impala,” the insider added. “He was in total shоck and overcome with emotion when he saw it. This gift meant the world to him because it had a much more sentimental reason behind it. This was Nelly’s dream car since he was a kid and he couldn’t believe Ashanti gave him such a thoughtful gift. It’s one of the best presents he’s ever received.”
Nelly thanked Ashanti in an Instagram post on Friday. “Sometimes all you can sаy is ‘Thank You,’” he wrote alongside a photo of himself gangsta leanin’ in his new wҺip.
“Best gift I ever received besides my kids!!!! You showed out shawty!!! Love you @ashanti.”
Nelly and Ashanti dated off and on from 2003 to 2013. They reunited last year and made their relationship Instagram official recently.
