Elon Musk’s Son X Æ A-xii Crashes Interview And Reveals How To Pronounce Name

Elon Musk son X Æ A-Xii crashed an interview and revealed how to actually pronounce his unique name.

Celebs are well known for choosing names for their children that are…unusual. Apple (Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin), Blue Ivy (Beyoncé and Jay-Z), Pilot (Jason Lee and Beth Riesgraf) and Bear Blaze (Kate Winslet and Ned Rocknroll – no, really) – just to name a few.

Musk, well-known for his view that we all need to be having more children to bring population levels up, has had 12 children with three different women.

Sharing 6 children with his ex-wife, Justine Wilson – his first, a boy who sadly died as an infant, was named Nevada. The couple then went on to have five more children, twins and then triplets.

Griffin, a boy born in 2004 and his twin Vivian, who has since been open about her view of her father. Vivian legally changed her name and gender in 2022. Her legal petition read: “I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form,”.

Kai Musk was born in 2006, one of three boys that the couple had, along with his brothers, Saxon and Damian

The couple divorced two years after the birth of their triplets.

Musk then met musician Grimes and the couple had their first child together in 2020. Originally named  X Æ A-12 (although they call him X), they legally changed his name to X Æ A-Xii to comply with California laws.

The Tesla CEO shared on The Joe Rogan Experience that his name is pronounced “X Ash A Twelve,”.

“First of all, my partner’s the one that mostly came up with the name,” he explained. “It’s just X, the letter X, and then the ‘Æ’ is pronounced, ‘Ash,’ and then, ‘A-12’ is my contribution.”

Little X crashed his dad’s interview with Tucker Carlson recently and in an adorable moment, shared how to pronounce his name.

The couple then split in 2021, although shortly after, attempted to rekindle their relationship, before separating for good

They welcomed their second child together, via surrogate, in December 2021. A girl that they named Exa Dark Sidaræl. The singer told Vanity Fair that her moniker was pronounced “sigh-deer-ee-el,” but nicknamed “Y.”

When asked about their relationship status at the time, she said: “There’s no real word for it,”. “I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid. We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time. … We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it.”

She added that she hoped to have more children with Musk, saying: “We’ve always wanted at least three or four.”

In March 2022, Grimes shared on social media that they had broken up:

‘Me and E have broken up *again* since the writing of this article haha, but he’s my best friend and the love of my life, and my life and art are forever dedicated to The Mission now, I think Devin wrote that part of the story rly well. Sique – peace out’

They had a third child, named Techno Mechanicus Musk, nicknamed “Tau” – who was born in June 2022.

New York Times review of ‘Elon Musk’ by Walter Isaacson revealed that he had welcomed a third child with Grimes, baby Techno.

The singer also shared the news on X, writing: “I wish I could show u how cute little Techno is but my priority rn is keeping my babies out of the public eye.”

“Plz respect that at this time.”

In September 2023, Grimes filed legal proceedings to gain parental rights against Musk.

In November 2021, Musk welcomed another set of twins, Strider and Azure with Shivon Zilis.

Isaccson, in his Musk biography, shared that Zilis is his “intellectual companion on artificial intelligence since the founding of OpenAI eight years earlier.”

The pair welcomed a third child together in 2024, who’s name and gender has not been shared with the public at this time.

Musk shared with Page Six: “All our friends and family know,”. “Failure to issue a press release, which would be bizarre, does not mean ‘secret.’”
